About Project
Harage Superadmin is a dedicated operations app for the Harage team, built to manage everything that happens behind the scenes of the customer marketplace, users, listings, inspections, logistics, and payments.
Your team designed and developed native Android and iOS superadmin apps, backed by Node.js APIs and a web‑based admin panel, so Harage staff can monitor and control the entire refurbished electronics lifecycle from anywhere.

Project Description
As Harage scaled its customer‑facing marketplace, the team needed more than spreadsheets and basic dashboards to stay in control. They required a secure, purpose‑built tool where admins, operations staff, and managers could oversee every part of the business: which devices are incoming, what stage each order is in, how pricing is applied, and how logistics are progressing.
The Harage Superadmin app was created exactly for that. Using the mobile apps (Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS), authorised team members can log in and see key operational data in real time, new seller requests, devices awaiting inspection, approved listings, orders in progress, and completed deliveries. They can update statuses, adjust prices where allowed, review quality‑check results, and handle escalations without needing a laptop.
Alongside the mobile apps, a browser‑based admin panel built with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap offers a richer, desktop‑oriented view for office teams. Both the apps and panel connect to a Node.js backend with MongoDB, which stores users, devices, inspection reports, pricing rules, and order flows. This combination gives Harage a centralised “brain” for operations, accessible from both mobile and web.
Business Goals
The core business goal of the Harage Superadmin app is to give the company full operational visibility and control over its refurbished marketplace, while reducing manual effort and the risk of errors.
Instead of managing inspections, pricing, and orders through scattered tools, Harage can use one system to coordinate teams, enforce processes, and react quickly to issues. This strengthens trust with customers and sellers and makes it possible to scale to more devices, categories, and regions without losing grip on quality or service.
From a strategic view, the Superadmin app is what turns Harage from a simple listing platform into a managed, operationally strong refurbishment and resale business.
Features
Centralised User & Role Management
Admins can create, edit, and manage different roles (superadmin, operations, inspection staff, support), controlling who can perform which actions in the system.
Device & Listing Management
Staff can review incoming device submissions, update inspection status, approve or reject listings, and push certified devices live to the customer marketplace.
Quality‑Check Workflow Tracking
The app and panel show where each device is in the QC process—received, under inspection, graded, approved, or rejected—ensuring nothing gets stuck or lost.
Pricing & Offer Controls
Authorised users can view and apply pricing rules, adjust offers where policy allows, and monitor average payouts and margins across device types.
Order & Logistics Oversight
Operations teams can track orders from seller pickup to buyer delivery, update statuses, and resolve exceptions (failed pickup, delivery issues, returns) directly from the app or panel.
Analytics & Key Metrics (High‑Level)
The Superadmin tools can surface high‑level stats like number of active listings, completed orders, pending inspections, and geography‑wise distribution, helping leadership make faster decisions.
Native Mobile Access for On‑The‑Go Teams
With Kotlin and Swift apps, field and operations staff can manage tasks away from the office—ideal when coordinating pickups, inspections, or on‑site decisions.
Node.js + MongoDB Operational Backend
A flexible backend structure supports fast queries on users, devices, and orders, making the system responsive even as transaction volumes grow.

Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Solutions
Keeping operational power without over‑complicating the UI
Superadmin tools often become cluttered because “everything” lives there.
The app and panel were designed around clear sections (Users, Devices, Inspections, Orders, Settings), with role‑based views so each team member sees only what matters to their job.
Ensuring data consistency between customer app and superadmin
Any mismatch between what customers see and what admins see can cause confusion and lost trust.
Both the customer app and Superadmin app rely on the same Node.js + MongoDB backend and consistent status codes, so each action taken by staff immediately reflects in the customer experience.
Managing sensitive operational actions securely
Actions like changing prices, approving devices, or cancelling orders have big business impact.
Role‑based permissions, protected routes, and audit‑friendly logging were implemented so that only authorised users can make critical changes and all important actions can be traced.
Supporting on‑the‑go decision‑making for field teams
Staff in warehouses or on pickups cannot always access a computer.
Native mobile apps give them quick access to key flows (status updates, basic approvals, order notes) with a UI adapted for smaller screens and touch interactions.
Scaling operations while maintaining quality
As Harage handles more devices and orders, it becomes harder to guarantee consistent QC and service.
The Superadmin tools enforce structured workflows and statuses, making it easier to spot bottlenecks, track SLA breaches, and maintain a high bar for every device sold on the platform.
