About Project
LesMeet is a dedicated social and dating app designed for lesbian women who want more than generic dating platforms, offering community, connection, and events all in one place.
iRoid Solutions helped turn this vision into a cross‑platform Flutter app with a Node.js backend and an EJS‑based admin panel, creating a secure, community‑driven product where women can find friendship, networking, dating opportunities, and local meetups.

Project Description
LesMeet was born from a simple need: there wasn’t a focused, safe, and modern space where lesbian women could connect with each other, discover events, and feel like the platform truly understood them. Instead of trying to be “for everyone”, the founders wanted an app built around one community, with features that make it easier to meet people both online and offline.
In the app, users create profiles, share interests, and set preferences for how they want to connect: friendship, dating, networking, or events. A feed and discovery flow help them find other women nearby, chat through in‑app messaging, and see curated events hosted within the community. Built in Flutter, LesMeet runs smoothly on both Android and iOS, while a Node.js backend and EJS admin panel power user management, event listings, moderation, and content controls.
The product intentionally feels more like “a community that happens to have dating” than “a dating app with a community bolt‑on”, with a focus on safety, warmth, and offline experiences such as meetups, parties, and local gatherings.
Business Goals
The main business goal for LesMeet is to become the go‑to digital space for lesbian women in Spain and beyond, combining dating, social networking, and event discovery into one brand.
On the user side, the goal is to make it easier to meet the right people: not just for romantic connections, but also for friendships, professional networking, and shared experiences at real‑world events. On the product and growth side, LesMeet aims to build a loyal, engaged community that can be supported through event partnerships, premium features, and long‑term brand building within the LGBTQ+ space.
Features
Community‑First Profiles
Users create profiles that highlight interests, intentions (friendship, dating, networking, events), and location, making it easier to find compatible matches beyond just swiping.
Local Discovery & Matching
Women can discover other members nearby, see who shares similar interests, and start conversations in a way that feels more community‑driven than purely transactional.
Event Discovery
LesMeet surfaces community events, meetups, parties, activities, so users can move from chatting in the app to meeting in real life in safe, organised spaces.
In‑App Messaging
Built‑in chat lets users talk, share plans, and get to know each other without leaving the app, helping keep conversations private and controlled.
Safe, Lesbian‑Focused Space
The app is designed specifically for lesbian women, with UX and flows that prioritise safety, respect, and a welcoming tone, rather than generic dating‑app behaviour.
Cross‑Platform Flutter App
A single Flutter codebase delivers a consistent experience across Android and iOS, simplifying maintenance and enabling rapid iteration on new features.
Node.js Backend & EJS Admin Panel
The backend and admin panel handle user accounts, events, content moderation, and configuration, giving the LesMeet team full control over community health and growth.

Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Solutions
Creating a truly welcoming, non‑generic space
Many dating apps feel generic, with little focus on specific identities or safety.
LesMeet’s design, copy, and feature set were shaped specifically around lesbian women’s needs, community first, events and dating second—making the app feel like a home rather than a generic platform.
Balancing dating features with community features
The app needed to support dating without losing sight of friendships and events.
The product prioritises discovery and events alongside profiles and chat, so users can choose how they want to engage: meet friends, attend events, or pursue dating, on their own terms.
Encouraging offline connections while keeping things safe
Moving from online chat to real‑world meetups introduces safety and comfort concerns.
LesMeet emphasises organised events and community spaces, giving users structured ways to meet people offline, rather than only relying on unmoderated one‑to‑one meetups.
Building trust around privacy and control
Users in a niche community need confidence that their data and identity are handled carefully.
Account flows, permissions, and moderation tools were designed to give users control over what they share, who can contact them, and how they participate in the community.
Scaling a niche app while keeping it intimate
As the user base grows, it’s easy for the app to feel crowded or lose its sense of closeness.
The architecture supports future community features like interest‑based groups, city‑specific events, and curated recommendations, helping the team keep experiences targeted and meaningful even as LesMeet expands.
