About Project
Planlark is a social planning app created to turn casual conversations into real plans. Instead of letting group chats become endless discussions, the app helps users create an activity, invite friends, collect clear responses, and decide what happens next.
iRoid Solutions developed the Android and iOS applications along with a supporting website using Kotlin, Swift, and React.js. The product brings planning, invitations, responses, and social coordination into one simple experience designed for everyday moments with friends.

Project Description
Making plans with friends often sounds simple, but conversations can quickly become confusing. People suggest different dates, respond at different times, or leave messages unanswered. Eventually, the plan gets delayed or disappears completely. Planlark was designed to solve this familiar problem by giving users a structured way to move from discussion to decision.
Users can create a plan, add the relevant details, invite friends, and receive clear yes-or-no responses. This removes the need to search through long message threads to understand who is interested, who is available, and what needs to happen next.
The app was built with Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS to provide a smooth native mobile experience. A React.js website supports the wider product ecosystem and gives the brand a flexible foundation for future social and planning features.
From weekend outings and dinner plans to trips, celebrations, and group activities, Planlark helps people organise shared experiences without unnecessary back-and-forth.
Business Goals
The primary business goal was to create a focused social utility that solves a common communication problem: turning informal conversations into confirmed plans.
Rather than competing as another general-purpose messaging platform, Planlark focuses on the moment after people start talking, when someone needs to decide the date, confirm availability, and make the event happen. By simplifying this process, the app aims to increase meaningful engagement and encourage users to return whenever they need to organise something with friends.
For the business, the long-term goal is to build a scalable social planning ecosystem that can support group activities, event coordination, shared calendars, reminders, location-based plans, and other features that help people spend more time together in real life.
Features
Create a Plan
Users can create a plan and add the essential details, giving everyone a clear understanding of what is being organised.
Invite Friends
Plan creators can invite selected friends directly, keeping the planning process focused instead of sending messages across multiple groups.
Clear Yes-or-No Responses
Invitees can respond clearly to a plan, helping the organiser quickly understand who is interested and available.
Centralised Plan Details
All important information stays connected to the plan, reducing the need to search through separate conversations for dates, decisions, and updates.
Group Coordination
Planlark makes it easier for multiple people to coordinate around the same activity, whether it is a casual meetup, dinner, trip, celebration, or group outing.
Decision-Making Support
The app helps users move from suggestions to decisions by making responses visible and reducing uncertainty within the group.
Social Planning Experience
Planlark combines social interaction with practical planning, helping users transform conversations into shared experiences.
Native Android and iOS Apps
Kotlin and Swift provide platform-specific mobile experiences with smooth navigation and layouts designed for everyday social use.
React-Based Website
The React.js website supports the product’s online presence and provides a flexible foundation for future web-based planning and account features.
Scalable Product Foundation
The application structure allows future features such as reminders, recurring plans, shared schedules, activity categories, locations, and event updates to be added as the platform grows.

Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Solutions
Turning informal conversations into structured plans
Social conversations are naturally unstructured, but planning requires clear information and decisions.
We focused the product around a simple flow: create a plan, invite people, collect responses, and confirm the next step. This gives users structure without making the experience feel formal or complicated.
Reducing endless back-and-forth
Group chats often contain multiple suggestions, unclear replies, and delayed decisions. This makes it difficult to know whether a plan is actually happening.
Planlark separates planning activity from general conversation and uses clear responses to help groups reach a decision faster.
Keeping the experience simple for casual users
People may use the app for small, spontaneous plans, so creating an activity should not require a long setup process.
The UI/UX was designed around short flows, clear labels, and focused actions. Users can start a plan quickly and invite friends without navigating through unnecessary screens.
Managing different group sizes and social situations
A plan might involve two friends, a small group, or a larger gathering. Each situation can require different communication and coordination needs.
The product was designed with flexible invitation and response flows so the same core experience can support both simple meetups and larger group activities.
Making decisions visible without creating social pressure
Users need clarity, but they should not feel uncomfortable if they cannot attend a plan.
The response experience is intentionally straightforward and neutral, allowing users to communicate availability clearly without lengthy explanations or awkward follow-up messages.
Creating a product that supports real-world interaction
Many social apps are designed to keep users online, while Planlark is meant to help people make plans that happen offline.
The product experience focuses on action and completion rather than endless engagement. Every feature supports the journey from conversation to confirmed real-world activity.
