Project Description

In a city like Mumbai, great discounts are everywhere, on shop boards, WhatsApp statuses, and random social pages, but most shoppers never see them in time. SeekSagar set out to solve this by becoming a local “deal radar” for the neighbourhood.

Using the app, users create a simple profile, allow location access, and immediately see live offers from nearby stores and vendors. Deals are organised by category (clothing, electronics, groceries, salons, games, medicine, and more), so people can quickly scan what’s relevant and decide where to go.

For this first phase, SeekSagar is focused on Android users in Mumbai’s Western suburbs, with future plans to add delivery‑based listings, deal alerts, business dashboards, reviews, and price comparisons. Our team implemented the Android app in Kotlin, backed by Node.js/Express APIs, MongoDB, and an admin panel hosted on AWS/GoDaddy, so the product is ready to scale to new areas and features.

Business Goals

The main business goal for SeekSagar is to bridge the gap between offline businesses and smart local shoppers: give shops a simple way to broadcast their offers, and give users one place to see everything around them.

By aggregating deals into a clean, geolocation‑based feed, the platform aims to increase footfall for local stores, reduce the effort shoppers spend hunting for discounts, and eventually become a nationwide discovery ecosystem for offline retail.

For the founders, SeekSagar is positioned as Mumbai’s go‑to local deal finder today, with an eye on expanding into multiple cities and layering on richer monetisation tools like business dashboards, premium listings, and analytics.
