About Project
Stork Driver is the companion app built for trusted drivers who provide safe and reliable transportation for children through the Stork platform. It gives drivers a simple way to receive ride requests, manage trips, navigate efficiently, and stay connected with parents and the operations team while maintaining a strong focus on safety and responsibility.
Developed by iRoid Solutions with Flutter, backend services, and an admin ecosystem, the app supports the full driver journey—from accepting a ride to completing the drop-off, so every trip feels organized, secure, and transparent.

Project Description
Stork Driver was created to support a very sensitive transportation model: moving children safely and reliably, while making the driver experience smooth enough to work in real-world conditions. The app needed to be simple for drivers to use, but powerful enough to handle route updates, ride status changes, communication, and safety checks without confusion.
Our team designed and developed a Flutter-based driver app backed by Node.js/Express APIs, MongoDB, AWS infrastructure, and an admin panel for operational oversight. The result is a platform where drivers can manage incoming requests, track trip details, and follow structured ride workflows that keep the experience consistent from pickup to drop-off.
The interface was built with clarity in mind: clean screens, straightforward actions, visible trip states, and minimal friction during active rides. Since drivers often operate on the move, we focused on fast interactions and dependable performance so they can concentrate on the child’s safety and the quality of service.
Business Goals
The main business goal of the Stork Driver app was to build a dependable driver network that could deliver child transportation with the highest level of trust, consistency, and operational control.
By giving drivers a dedicated app, Stork could standardize ride execution, improve response times, reduce manual coordination, and create a more professional service experience for parents. At the same time, the platform supports driver earnings and efficiency, making it easier to attract responsible drivers who want a stable, meaningful transportation opportunity.
Features
Ride Request Management
Drivers can receive, review, and accept ride requests quickly, helping them stay organized and respond to bookings without delay.
Trip Status Workflow
The app guides drivers through each step of the journey—arrival, pickup, in transit, and drop-off—so every ride is tracked clearly and consistently.
Navigation and Location Support
Integrated location tools help drivers reach pickup and drop-off points efficiently, reducing delays and improving trip accuracy.
Safety-Centered Ride Handling
The app supports the same trust-first model as the parent app, with secure ride operations and structured workflows that help protect the child throughout the journey.
Real-Time Communication
Drivers can stay aligned with parents and the platform through timely updates and notifications, which is especially important when ride plans change.
Earnings and Trip Visibility
Drivers can see their active rides, completed trips, and earning-related details in one place, making the app useful both operationally and financially.
Supportive Driver Experience
The UI is designed for quick use on the go, with simple navigation and easy access to the actions drivers need most during an active shift.
Scalable Backend Integration
Built on Flutter, Node.js/Express, MongoDB, and AWS, the app is structured to support growth as the driver network expands into new areas.

Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Solutions
Designing for a high-responsibility use case
The app had to support drivers who are responsible for transporting children, where even small mistakes can create major trust issues.
We kept the workflow highly structured, with clear trip states, simple actions, and safety-focused design choices that reduce confusion and help drivers stay confident.
Making the app easy to use while driving
Drivers often need to interact with the app quickly and with minimal distraction.
The interface was simplified into fast, tap-friendly screens with concise labels and clear status updates, so drivers can complete tasks without unnecessary complexity.
Coordinating real-time trip updates across users
Parent, driver, and admin views all need to stay in sync during live rides.
We implemented a backend architecture that pushes updates across the ecosystem in real time, ensuring booking details, trip progress, and drop-off status remain consistent everywhere.
Building trust in the driver experience
Since the platform serves children, the driver app needed to reinforce professionalism and reliability at every step.
We paired a clean, reassuring UX with operational rules and safety-driven flows so drivers feel supported by a system built around accountability and care.
Supporting scale without slowing performance
As the service grows, more drivers, more rides, and more live updates can put pressure on the platform.
Flutter for the app, plus a modular Node.js/Express backend on AWS and MongoDB, provided a flexible base that can grow without compromising speed or stability.
